So far very impressed car does daily 60 mile commute 7000 miles in 3 months !!! Car comfortable goes well happily cruises at 70 mph . Seats good air con excellent. A little underpowered on the hills in SW England this is only a 1.4 petrol have been used to diesel in the past . Average 41 mpg given roads in my area is ok .

Refinement is very good and the controls are light, making the i30 easy to drive on all kinds of roads. It’s especially good as a motorway cruiser and makes long journeys very relaxed. As a family car it’s extremely hard to fault the i30 Tourer. It’s practical, comfortable, well-made, affordable and easy to drive.

No power folding mirrors. Puny single reverse light. Only one bag hook in boot. Granted the ride on the 18in alloys can be a bit harsh but thats not really too much of a problem. I find the seat comfier that the Kia Rio i had before and i like the raised driving position.

Good quality and fairly stylish for an estate. Plenty of standard equipment. Comfortable ride. Economical diesel engines. Awkward boot shape. Lacklustre image. Insurance Groups are between 12–18. On average it achieves 78% of the official MPG figure. The Hyundai i40 Tourer is Hyundai doing what it does best.

Unfairly overlooked efficiency monster. Lets get the bad points out of the way.. Its blander then a very bland thing in the looks department. Anyhoo moving on this car sits 4 comfortably and 5 easily for shorter runs, coming from a soul 64kwh company motor found the ioniqs head unit exactly the same just in a different colour hue so everything We are currently looking for a new car and the Hyundai i30 1.4 petrols (in Active spec) look like really good vaule. We have seen a number about 6-12 months old and 8-12k mileage. The car will be used for pootling about, but a number of long (250 mile plus) trips per year three up plus luggage.

A few niggles. Generally I like this car. It drives smoothly mpg not bad. Not done many miles since lockdowns came in, total over 25,000.
